Chair Construction: Designed in the 1940s this Danish furniture classic is built with a plastic seat into which the chair-back and legs are connected, in contrast to standard chairs, where the back legs and the uprights of the back are continuous. The seats of Spindle chairs are often carved into a shallow dish or saddle shape for comfort.
